Biography
Sue Fittell is a qualified acupuncturist with many years of experience, and has a background in Remedial Massage dating back to 1991.
She is dedicated to using her clinical skills and experience to help her clients live healthier lives.
Sue has run her own private practice and worked in group practices over many years. Sue is now currently building an acupuncture locum service for other practitioners.
Sue’s journey into acupuncture, massage, and yoga started in 1988 when she sought relief from insomnia. This experience inspired her to pursue formal studies, eventually earning her Associate Diploma of Massage Therapy in 1991 from The Australian College of Natural Medicine. Sue went on to run her own Remedial Massage business at the Brisbane Hilton’s Executive Health Club for a few years before embarking on an exploration of traditional medicines and cultures through travel. Her journeys took her through countries such as Thailand, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Europe, the UK and Nepal, where she completed a Thai massage course.
Recognising the value of a holistic approach to healthcare, Sue joined a natural therapies clinic in Brisbane in 2000. Here, she worked as a remedial massage therapist for 11 years, collaborating with naturopaths, herbalists, and acupuncturists, which introduced her to Japanese Acupuncture. Sue’s interest in the energetic side of healing led her to continue practising Ashtanga yoga, Reiki, and studying Australian Bush Flower essences. In 2002, she completed her yoga teacher training. Later, Sue pursued studies at Endeavour College of Natural Health, successfully earning her Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture in 2017.
